Can I get other shapes/sizes than what is in the store?
Yes. We receive custom orders for different shapes, sizes,
and color combinations, and we do fulfill them if they are feasible. If
you have something else in mind, just contact
us. We will
get back to you with feedback and a revised price for your custom
piece.
How much ash do you require?
Although we ask for about a tablespoon’s worth, we won’t even use
that much. Ash expands in the hot glass, and just a very small portion will be
sufficient. The ash we do not use will be sent back to you when your piece
is shipped. The good news: if you hoped to spread your pet's ashes or keep
it in an urn, you still can, while retaining a beautiful PawPrint Reflections
memento on display!
Can I get an item embedded in
the glass?
We recommend against it. Our process involves heating the glass
to over 2000 degrees. Most
objects will be damaged or destroyed at that temperature. Even
objects that can withstand the temperature will cool at a different
rate than the glass, and will most likely cause fractures.
Can I get the glass in the shape
of my pet?
Given the fact that our artwork is handmade, not mass-produced in molds, we
do not have the ability to sculpt the molten glass into the shapes
of specific pets. In addition, gravity has its way with
cooling glass, which can sometimes produce unpredictable results. Although
this is usually where the individual character of the artwork
surfaces, it prevents the ability to create and maintain a specific
and complex shape. |
